Your credit profile is very important in determining whether or not an application for credit is accepted or declined. Check Credit Rating * Don't be put off by cooler water temperatures. A good rule of thumb: July through October, fish surface waters that are at least 58.5 degrees (but warmer will be better).

Improve Credit Rating * Troll lines in a V-pattern with the bottom of the V (the shortest line) behind the boat's centerline. Albacore are attracted to the bottom of your boat and the wake, so don't fish lines miles back. A good starting point is around the second wake behind the boat.

Credit Score Rating Scale * Rig some of your lines with daisy chains - three or four small feathers threaded up the line about a foot apart and held in place with crimps. About 18 inches below these, at the bottom of your leader, tie on a larger jig in a different color as the stinger.

Free Credit Rating Report * If you read albacore deep on your depth sounder, circle over them. Pull all your lines on the side of the boat that's inside the circle. Chum the outside of the circle with frozen bait so you create a long spiral of bait down to the fish. Most of the time, they'll follow the spiral up and start hitting your jigs. (This is an old northern jig-boat trick.)
Credit Rating Scale * I can't stress strongly enough the value of outriggers to the private-boat albacore fisherman. They'll increase your score by at least 30 percent.
